The yellow mountain was called the mountain of Yi, the Yi Xian gets the name because of the mountain.There has been apart from now for more than 2200 years. Inshore ridges and peaks surround, pure river reflux, continuous group of mountain peaks and yellow mountains connect for integral whole, though these obstructed ancient Yixian with the association of the exterior world, it made the ecosystem environment of "peach-blossom source" of the Yi Xian. An ancient author was inspired by this particular environment and writed down an article 《the land of peach-blossom source 》. And this article made Yi Xian a good reputation "the land of peach-blossom source". The Yi Xian still contains 3600 ancient villages that are protected very well. It is the No1 ancient villages in the southern part of Anhui province.

Hongcun, xidi and guanlu resides the layout of construction and contain abundant cultural contents. It also display the special features of the Chinese ancient construction-art style. Among them, the xidi and hongcun villages have already been listed in the world cultural heritage. The Chinese and Foreign visitors tends to visit these places.
