Yancheng City Museum |

Building of the museum began in 1961. It is a comprehensive museum for study and reflection of the history of Yancheng. The museum locates at 118, West Jianjun Road, the historical site of headquarter of the New Fourth Army, or in the Tai Mountain Temple. It has an area of 2600 square meters in total. About 1600 square meters are exhibition rooms. There are 16000 pieces of cultural relics and information. Most of them are representative antiques in Yancheng area. Also in exhibition are more than 4000 pieces revolutionary historic exhibits and documents. In this museum, you can learn plenty of historic knowledge and enjoy greatness of ancient Chinese culture. |

This is a large scale civil museum with an investment of about 130,000,000 yuan. The museum is in Longgang fruit farm, Yandu District, which is named as Jiangsu Huadu Forest Park by the government of Jiangsu province.
