In 2007 China Green Tourist Hotel Forum held on December 22, 2007 in Beijing, Jinling Hotels & Resorts Corporation won the 2007 Green Hotel Management Award for excellence in green hotel management. In addition, four Jinling member hotels received 2007 China's Best Green Hotel Award. They are Jinyuan Jinling Plaza Xuzhou, Huafang Jinling International Hotel Zhangjiagang, International Hotel Changshu, and The Garden Hotel Taicang. On this Forum, Mr. Fang Li, Vice President of Jinling Hotels & Resorts Corporation, gave a speech to share Jinling's success with participating managers and professionals in hotel industry. 

Following the release of Green Hotel New Standards by China National Tourism Administration, this Forum aimed at introducing new concepts and strategies for hotel operators, increasing their awareness of protecting ecology and environment along the process of rapid development.

Compared with the developed countries, the energy consumption per unit GDP in China's hotel industry is much higher, and this means great problem in the long run. Green hotel is the only way out of intense competition. Over these years, Jinling Hotels & Resorts have given priority to green hotel management and practice by controlling energy consumption, optimizing resources, and reducing waste during daily operation. At the same time, they tried to make guests appreciate and accept the new practice. Early in 1999 Jinling Hotel Nanjing set up the first green group that has carried out a series of programs to reduce energy consumption.  

As a national famous brand, Jinling is reputed for the consulting and management service on hotel development projects. This section is among the eight major support systems for Jinling member hotels nationwide and offers tailor-made service for better design and higher efficiency, especially for new hotels under construction. Vice President Fang Li expressed during the forum: "Jinling Hotels & Resorts Corporation will always encourage its members to stick to the green concept. We interact with all industries working closely in and with the hospitality industry in order to provide professional services and management skills to owners and investors.
